Counseling
School counselors play a vital role in supporting the well-being and success of all students. They provide academic guidance, career planning, and social-emotional support through one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and classroom lessons.
Counselors help students develop coping skills, build positive relationships, and set goals for the future. They also collaborate with families and staff to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment. Counseling services are available to all students throughout the school year.
Message from School Counselor
Hello Jefferson Charger Families! My name is Ms. Kegley and I am Jefferson Elementary's School Counselor. This is my second year in Everett Public Schools, but my 7th year as an elementary school counselor. Before EPS, I was in Lancaster, California, where I started my career.
I was born and raised in Snohomish County, and I am extremely happy to be back serving my community! I received my bachelors degree at the University of Washington, go dawgs. I graduated from California Lutheran University with my masters degree in Counseling.
Mission Statement: As a school counselor, my professional mission is to uplift, inspire, motivate, and prepare students by being an advocate for their needs while creating a more equitable playing field to help achieve student success. I am a servant leader by role modeling expectations, fostering trusting relationships, and creating a positive vision for the future.
I am looking forward to collaborating with you all! Please feel free to reach out if you need anything.
